The AMI Foundation

AMI created The AMI Foundation in 2003 to coordinate its philanthropic endeavors. The AMI Foundation is a 501c3 charitable organization that is dedicated to enhancing the level of healthcare for community residents by collaborating with local community groups to support programs that address critical health needs.

Since its inception in 2003, the Foundation has provided over $1,000,000 to various charitable organizations throughout South Jersey and Central Jersey. The Foundation has also provided free screening mammography exams to uninsured women 40 and older, free Coronary CTA exams for individuals at risk for heart disease, and free low dose CT lung screening exams for individuals at risk for lung cancer.

The Dr. Jan Astin Digital Mobile Mammography Van, funded through the AMI Foundation, is a convenient option that provides women in southeastern New Jersey with high-quality 3D Digital Screening Mammography services. Our mobile van makes mammography screenings more convenient and accessible. Thirty minutes is all it takes to participate in this valuable health screening and most insurance providers cover annual screening mammograms 100%. In addition to featuring state-of-the-art 3D Digital Mammography equipment, The Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van is fully furnished with a comfortable waiting area and private dressing rooms. Our services meet the high accreditation standards set by the American College of Radiology and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Throughout the year, the Foundation has hosted various fundraising events as well as drives to assist community members in need. A few of the notable achievements of the AMI Foundation include:

  • Provided free Coronary CTA exams through the William Reilly Coronary CTA fund. The coronary CTA exam is for patients at risk for coronary artery disease.
