AMI created The AMI Foundation in 2003 to coordinate its philanthropic endeavors.
Throughout the year, the Foundation hosts various fundraising events as well as drives to assist community members in need. This year has been off to a busy start with already hosting the Annual Designer Bag Bingo and Annual Golf Tournament.
The AMI Foundation held its annual Designer Bag Bingo on May 21st. Over 300 people gathered at Holy Spirit High School for a fun night of bingo for a chance to win handbags from designers like Kate Spade and Michael Kors, as well as take home one of the 66 raffle baskets. The grand raffle prize of the evening was a Louis Vuitton purse. For our sold-out golf tournament, over 100 golfers teed off at Galloway National on May 24th for an amazing day of golf and fundraising.
Later on this summer team members with be at the 6th Annual Gilda’s Club South Jersey Dragon Boat Festival Sunday, July 10, at Lake Lenape Park West in Mays Landing. All proceeds from the event will benefit Gilda’s Club South Jersey.
Also happening in July is the Funky Pickle Ventnor Classic Saturday, July 30, at the Ventnor Pickleball Courts. This is a pickleball festival and fundraising event that includes a mixed doubles pickleball tournament, live music, a beach bar, food trucks, vendors, and a skills challenge activation space hosted by pro players. Proceeds from the Funky Pickle Ventnor Classic will benefit the AMI Foundation and the Dr. Jan Astin Mobile Digital Mammography Van.
The AMI Foundation is a 501c3 charitable organization that is dedicated to enhancing the level of healthcare for community residents by collaborating with local community groups to support programs that address critical health needs.
Since its inception in 2003, the Foundation has provided over $1,000,000 to various charitable organizations throughout South Jersey and Central Jersey. The Foundation has also provided free screening mammography exams to uninsured women 40 and older, free Coronary CTA exams for individuals at risk for heart disease, and free low dose CT lung screening exams for individuals at risk for lung cancer. The AMI Foundation also funds the Dr. Jan Astin Digital Mobile Mammography Van, a convenient option that provides women in southeastern New Jersey high-quality 3D Digital Screening Mammography services.
