As we approach the conclusion of 2023, a season synonymous with generosity and goodwill, we wish to illuminate the commendable efforts of the AMI Foundation. For over five decades, Atlantic Medical Imaging (AMI) has remained steadfast in its dedication to providing hope and assistance to those most in need within our community. This commitment manifests through life-saving free medical screenings, substantial financial contributions to deserving non-profits, volunteer initiatives, and crucial educational opportunities. AMI does not merely aspire to be a responsible corporate entity; rather, we are resolute in our pursuit of making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals.
Established in 2003 to streamline AMI's philanthropic initiatives, The AMI Foundation stands as a 501c3 charitable organization devoted to elevating healthcare standards for community residents. Collaborating with local community groups, the Foundation supports programs addressing critical health needs. Since its inception, the Foundation has contributed over $1,000,000 to various charitable organizations across Atlantic, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Monmouth Counties.
The Foundation's support extends to a diverse range of organizations, including local entities such as Gilda’s Club South Jersey, Jewish Family Services, Hope Music Fest, Shirley Mae Foundation, Boys and Girls Club of Atlantic City, the American Cancer Society, and the American Heart Association. Additionally, the Foundation offers free screening mammography exams to uninsured women aged 40 and older, complimentary Coronary CTA exams for individuals at risk of heart disease, and free low-dose CT lung screening exams for those at risk of lung cancer.
Throughout the years, the Foundation has organized various initiatives to aid community members in need:
The Annual Tools for School drive supplies new backpacks and school essentials to area schools, ensuring students have a productive school year. To date, over 3,600 backpacks have been donated.
The Annual Food drive collaborates with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey – Southern Branch and Fulfill (The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean County) to provide nutritious food items for families in need. The Foundation has contributed over 5,500 pounds of food.
The Annual Toy Drive/Adopt a Family program allows the Foundation to spread holiday cheer to families facing challenges.
AMI consistently fosters a culture of giving and volunteerism across its office locations in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Ocean, and Monmouth counties. This inclusive approach engages not only its 800+ employees but also patients and office visitors.
